Referee Contest

VMHA Ref Contest

Hello Refs, and welcome to the 2015-16 season.  I am hoping everyone is getting in lots of games and enjoying the season so far. To become a better official you have to continue to study and review the rules that we are charged with to oversee.  One way to do this is to quiz and have you test them in different situations.  Over the remainder of the season I will be posting videos or question onto the VMHA website for you as officials to answer.
Here is how it will work:
1. I will post a question or video onto the VMHA homepage under the referees page
2. You will have a time frame to email the answer to myself referees@vmha.com
3. If you answer correctly your name will go into a pot
4. At the end of the year a name will be drawn  from that pot and that person will win a Official bag
Rules:
1. You must be a Level 1 official with VMHA- this means that you are assigned games from the VMHA assignor and that you are under the age of 16- You have to have carded as a level 1 official this year or carded as a new official this year
2. The answers must be into me before the deadline
3. The answers have to 100% correct
4. The decision of the RIC for all answers submitted is final
The reason for this contest is to get you, as official to read your rules books and think about how to apply the rules we are overseeing on the ice.  I hope everyone has a great season and maybe learn some new things this year

Thanks
VMHA RIC
