Equipment Fitting Tips

Proper fitting equipment is crucial for both safety and comfort. Here are some basic guidelines:

  • Helmet: Should fit snugly with no movement when the head is shaken. The chin strap should be firmly fastened.
  • Shoulder Pads: Should cover the shoulders, upper chest, and upper back without restricting arm movement.
  • Elbow Pads: Should cover the elbow and extend onto the forearm and bicep without restricting movement.
  • Gloves: Should cover the wrist and allow good stick control with a proper grip.
  • Skates: When standing, toes should barely touch the end of the skate. When knees are bent, toes should pull back slightly.

Equipment safety reminder: Always inspect your child's equipment regularly for damage or excessive wear. Replace damaged equipment immediately to ensure maximum protection.
