Vancouver Minor Hockey Association will be hosting the NHL/NHLPA First Shift program in the fall 2023.

The NHL/NHLPA First Shift is open to children, between the ages of 6 and 10 years old*, who have never previously enrolled in minor hockey within Canada or the NHL/NHLPA First Shift program.

*To be eligible to participate, children must be born between January 1, 2013 and May 1, 2018.

The program consists of 6 sessions over a 6-week period.  The fee for First Shift is $299.00 per player and provides head-to-toe equipment including skates.

VMHA 2nd Shift

VMHA also offers our very own transition program called VMHA 2nd Shift in late January.  This program consists of an additional 7 sessions at $125.00 per player. VMHA First Shift participants will be provided information on how to register for 2nd Shift late November.
