Spring Camps at the VMHA Training Centre with LGS

Improve your Shooting, Puck Handling,  Strength, Conditioning and Agility through Spring at VMHA’s state of the art Training Centre!

The TC is a game changer for our young athletes, providing them with a state of the art training environment supported by LGS's  highly qualified skills and strength coaches to take their game to the next level

Located on Mitchell Island between South Vancouver and Richmond, the Hockey Training Center has a synthetic ice surface that can be separated into 4 shooting lanes, and a fully equipped gym space with high quality equipment. The spaces will allow for small groups between 4-6 athletes to train and received personalised coaching and feedback.

Skills programs are offered on the synthetic ice for all athletes starting at U9 up to U18, including female specific programming. While every hockey player loves to rip pucks, each program will have a set curriculum taking hockey players through an appropriate skills progression so that they can see results and improve puck handling and shooting skills and techniques. These skills sessions will give players a chance to finely tune fundamental skills that often don't get enough attention within day to day on ice team practices.

But that's not all, for U13 to U18 level athletes, a detailed strength & conditioning program is exactly what high performance hockey players need in their 'off season'. Led by LGS Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, Tyler DeBoer, athletes can expect a three phase program that will develop acceleration, deceleration, movement strength and power.
