| As you know, 2019/20 season came to an abrupt halt in response to required safety measures to “flatten the curve” of the Covid-19 global pandemic. We were as disappointed as you are. The VMHA is happy to assure you – from an appropriate social distance – that we are making sure that the upcoming season is ready to go, when all levels of governments confirm it is safe to do so.
The April 1 registration date for returning players is just days away, and we realize that September seems so far in the distance given this day-by-day approach we are coping with. However, we do need to know what our numbers look like in each division so plans can be made. The VMHA Board has made some adjustments to ease concerns about the cost of minor hockey by offering a 10 percent early-bird discount to all returning VMHA members, as well as a deferred payment plan. We understand how strange and difficult this situation is for so many.
This early-bird discount is offered for registrations done by midnight on Sunday, May 31
● An installment payment option is available with a $100 deposit upon check out with the remaining balance divided over four installments. Additional payments will be automatically taken on August 15, September 15, October 15 and November 15.
● Parents wishing to pay in full can select to do so.
● A full refund of deposit can be requested up until August 1st. Refunds requested after August 1st, will be subject to the VMHA Refund Policy

Note: Parents registering more than one player should complete all registrations on the same form to avoid being charged multiple volunteer fees. This can be done by clicking “Add another Participant” once the first player’s details have been entered. Parents do NOT need to pay the jersey deposit unless they have forfeited previously due to loss or theft.
The annual volunteer dinner, AGM and spring training are still suspended until further notice.

Attention Graduating Midget or Juvenile Players Going to Post-Secondary Education in September 2020 – This One’s For You: Al Boyd Bursary Opportunity Extended to April 30
VMHA has extended the deadline to offset any disruptions to members’ due to unusual social circumstances surrounding Covid-19.
The Al Boyd bursary is given out annually to a player who reflects the qualities that were synonymous with our beloved Coach Al Boyd – hard work, integrity, commitment, and volunteerism.
Eligibility: Open to all VMHA members in good standing who are entering an accredited post secondary institution within 18 months of application. Members in good standing include players, referees and coaches that have fulfilled all financial and certifications required by the Association, PCAHA and BC Hockey. Application Deadlines: April 30.
