Criminal Record Check

Every rostered team official and any appointed Board position aged 18 and over and dealing regularly with children must have on file with the VMHA a current criminal record check that includes a vulnerable sector search.

The Vulnerable Persons Check (VPC) is included within the online format of the Criminal Record Check (CRC), as offered through the Ministry of Justice website. The Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP) automatically incorporates a VPC into every CRC completed through this platform, as noted on the Ministry of Justice website.

The Criminal Record Check is free through the Ministry of Justice, and valid for three seasons.   Rarely some individuals are asked to get fingerprinting done, and the $26 charge will be reimbursed to you. No other costs will be paid for extensive CRC clearances.  More information can be found at VPD Fingerprinting Services

To submit your Criminal Record Check HERE and use access code: 89EJQFW58M to complete.

Important: at the conclusion, please note the Service Number provided and email it to registrar@vmha.com This will act as proof of submission until the final clearance letter comes in.

If you have had a CRC done recently for another volunteering position, you can choose to Share your existing check rather than initiate a new one; this will expedite completion, but expire sooner.
