Earn Your Volunteer Refund Back This Month
2019 VMHA 14th Annual Charity Tournament Runs on Volunteers Like You
Our holiday tournament is right around the corner, from December 27 to 30, 2019 at Canlan Burnaby 8-Rinks, AKA – Scotia Barn (we know, right?) Your help will make a huge difference to the success of this tournament. We need your help.
Spend some time supporting your hockey community – AND earn your volunteer refund back with six hours of support. All kinds of fun jobs are available from reception desk (sharpen those leadership skills), 50/50 sales (hone your sales pitch), scorekeeping (feed your inner DJ) and timeclock (be ready if the NHL needs you one day).
Please click here to sign up and give the valuable gift of your time to your hockey local association.
Remember, if you commit to volunteering before Christmas, Santa will accept this as “nice credits” for 2019, provided you follow through. Not sure how he knows, but he does.
We need six volunteers to help clean up the equipment storage locker on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 9 am to 3 pm. This includes cutting and disposal of cardboard boxes, removing old inventory and cataloging current inventory such as jerseys, goalie equipment and other supplies. Team up with your favourite hockey parents and start the year off doing something good. First deposit in the 2020 Karma Bank – done. Comes with lunch and an opportunity to wear your favourite warm and cozy clothing. Please direct questions to firstname.lastname@example.org and click here to sign up.

And you thought you were forgetful….
After winning the Stanley Cup in 1924, Montreal Canadiens players drove to their victory party with the trophy in the trunk of the car. When the car got a flat, they removed The Cup to get to the spare tire. Once changed, they forgot all about The Cup and left it behind in a snowbank. Later that night, they realized what they’d done and returned to get the trophy. Luckily, it was still where they left it. Clearly they weren’t in East Van.
